Can Ordering Groceries Online Support Diet Quality in Adults Who Live in Low Food Access and Low-Income Environments?
This research shows that during the COVID-19 pandemic, adults from a low-income, low food access community in Northeastern Connecticut who ordered groceries online, especially those participating in food assistance programs, reported higher diet quality. It also indicates that healthier perceived home food environments, and the ability to use food assistance benefits for online grocery orders, positively influenced diet quality in these communities.
